Within the UNESCO World Heritage Sanssouci Park, the historic dahlia quarter near the Orangery Palace features meticulously maintained beds of rare and heritage varieties. The Prussian kings cultivated dahlias here as early as the 1830s, and the tradition continues with splendid summer displays framed by neoclassical architecture.
